Tyre Shredding and Tyre Crumb

We take pride in the fact that we accept your tyres in a variety of forms and sizes which other companies would refuse.

Wheeldon Brothers Waste accept all types of your tyres except solid tyres. Rimmed wheels are removed quickly with a wheel crusher.

For your contaminated tyres there is an additional charge to clean them and ensure the tyre crumb is contamination free.

Your tyres are made to be indestructible so shredding tyres is not easy, the machinery must be robust. Maintaining and operating the equipment is difficult.

Tyres are usually charged on price per tonne for all sizes.

Your tyres off your car/van/wagon or machine can be recycled into a useable product

Process:-
Tyres are loaded into the primary shredder and then fed into the granulator. The air system separates the crumb from the nylon cord. 3 magnets in the process pull out the steel to produce a 99.9% wire free crumb. The product is approximately 1 cm square.

The crumb is used for horse arenas, road making, drainage, garden bed cover, play grounds and safety mats.

Future plans
We are planning to use the shredder for recycling other products ie cable separation.
